Holy crud I'm sorry I didn't check this thread after I made my post, I will do an instars for you guys, and w00t that made me so happy to see it even partially modeled....
Your my hero Drafell
But note, that there's a pair of fins that curve down over the engine decks, rather than just a bulbous area in the rear. You also cannot see it becuase like a dope I drew in engine flame, but the ship has a sort of tail, extending from in between the engines... I'll just do an overpaint on MS paint.
PS, in between the two hull sections on the fore, ventral area of the ship, is a oversized cannon. Perfect for a QST launcher. You can see the twin barrels if you look close.
Directly underneath the engines, in that boxy area, that's the fighter hangars.

OK here's a cleaned up image so you can see the thing's rear end...
Btw, the ship is called a Ghostknife class dreadnought.
On the bottom it is similar in shape to the prow of a ship, but the top is cruved and sloping. Tell me if I need to draw a new image of the rear.
As for sweeping back fins... not quite sure what you meant but I'll sketch it, and we''ll see
Oh and here's a second image that I did a while back and just happen to like a lot. Just so there's some relevence, the Ghostkife is in it.

There is no time to get another model in before release...
But if you provide views from 3 angles, I might be able to implement it in another patch.
If someone else does the core model and we just need to skin it, they can send it to me, but it has to be in 3ds format. Thats what the Resourcer accepts.

I using a second hand version of 3ds R3. The model should be able to import into the later versions ok.
Still working on it part time. Not in any particular hurry as I am trying to work out how to apply textures to individual faces without it skinning the whole object and things like that.
I have a much more up-to-date version of that model as well. The wings are yet to be added. I just tried to get a basic shape to work from. then I can add extra features and remove vertices and remodel the meshes as required.

I've been doing sketches for 3D models for years, I'll make your life easy, and post some exploded wireframe views of the individual objects in the model, the engines and such as they have a very specific shape.

Latest version. Been playing with learning to map textures and also getting a more "EAD" style feel, although I personally feel this model would be more suited to the Command Class Dread.

Looking at the other UGTO ships, it seems I need to reword the engine flutes to a more oval shape and a concave center. Shouldn't be too difficult. Then I am going to try texturing them like the Agincourt has them.
Would be better if I had the actual base textures to work from but... making them up is fun too.
One I work out how to get bump mapping to work properly in this version...
*me drools*

But then it would have to be an ICC ship.
