Hola amigos.


The same test is administered with level 8 bombers. With a stock command carrier, you are able to launch 5 volleys of 6 for 30 fighters.


The result:



Meaning that ICC bombers are slightly more effective than UGTO.


However...

Notice anything interesting about the command carrier?

Maybe this will help:



That's right, you can equip a reload bay.

The last test, was administered with a level 2 hypermass accelerator and a level 7 reload bay.

This test was also done at the max possible range as seen below:



With these new upgrades, the command carrier is able to launch 8 volleys x 6 fighters for a total of 48 bombers. Far more than the Agincourt.

The result? Well...



Please make your own judgements.



(Sirius 3 started at 100% shields in both tests.)

In my oppinion a reload ON a bomber is rather, an overkill?
Just think, one person could do that and turn around for another run and destroy the planet(not literally). A planet should be able to defend itself against at least ONE ship you would think.

Dude, no offense intended but you know that style of ship has been with the UGTO as the Command Dread (CD) for many Years now. I think its Silly but if Any Faction Deserves to get a Reload on its Command ship.. Dont you think its the Bomber/Defense Faction? (The ICC..)

Plus what does that say about this game if you take it away from us now... "Well sorry guys.. we thought we Nerf this cus the Ugto have been using that Strategy for Too many years already.."

nah, it's just eh UGTO cleverly diverted attention from the CD by creating a crusade againt the adv carrier.

Sry didnt realize that all factions bombers had reloads. I just think one ship shouldnt be able to destroy a planet. And pls dont bring up the AC.

How many fighter slots does the CD have?


Edit:

UGTO command dread has 4 fighter bays.

Brood has 4.

Well your talking about fighter bombing arent you not actually using the mirv bombs or were using them along side the XB-11s?

This was strictly bombing with fighters, I'm sure if the CC began a conventional bomb run once it hit dictor range, it would have penetrated shields.

I fail to see the point. Why can't we remove something that's been around for a while? We had a few typos in the game, and those have been fixed. We had PCMs that were used for bombing, and those are now ship-to-ship weapons. We had Gaifen that gave you ships damaged points, and they now are nearly extinct. We had planetary transports and people used them for supply line disruptions and ships damaged prestige for a year - and we removed them.

It seems to me these are the sorts of things that can be changed - namely, anything. If we retool all the ships, I don't see why we can't remove a gadget that may have been present for a few years. Not to say that we should or need to (not passing judgement at all), but I don't see a problem with doing so, in general.

Otherwise, most of the ships have had the layouts they do in release for years - and yet most of them are now changed... does that say something about the game?

Yeah I see where your going.. Ie: the game is changeing but staying the same..

But Mith, there comes a point in ones DS career when they can draw the line and say thats it and no more.. why did they get this and not me. To say that the Dev of then gave the none bomber faction an uber bomber is not, nor has it ever been my soap box. Nor is it my intention of saying you dont have the powers to deal out change as you see fit. But what I do take a stand for is pointing out certian things ..this isnt a case of spelling but a factor of unfair treatment. And on this matter I do beleive that giving all three factions this ability goes along way towards reciprocity.

I do fully understand that taking out and adding certain aspects is the nature of yours and of others positions here at Palestar. But my nature is that of a consumer and player of DS. I would have takken the removal of that feature to be a kin to a kick in the shorts.

any type of offensive ships shoud NEVER have reload gadget ...
