Firms? Um, this is not Eve...
There are two other factions already about 75% completed each. And a third new faction sitting on the design board... But player/subscriber numbers will determine when each goes live.
If the subscriber base stays where its at then we will stay with 3 player and 3 ai factions. If Subscriber base and active players increases by a decent margin, then we will open up one of the new factions. If we get a big jump/surge in subscribers, then two of the currently AI factions will be open up and work done on the faction sitting on the board.
There will always be one AI only dedicated faction in addition to the player accessible factions.
Pirates use older, smaller ships ment for snatch and grab. Their ships cap out at Destroyer size.
Mir ships are larger, heavier ships. They have few small class ships. (only 2).
So newer players would have access to the Pirates, Vets would get rewarded with access to the Mir when and If they are both opened.
