Everyone is saying that DS is heading in the direction of EvE whith all this mining and credits stuff... perosnally i think this game would beomce twice as good if it became more like Nexus:the jupitar incident.
what do you people all think?

I think, shush, its its own game, and its not going to become like any other game.

Darkspace has always been defined by its uniqueness among other games. Mining its just a way to make money at the moment. When the economy fix comes, there will be plenty of other ways to make money, possibly more.

i wouldnt say DS and EvE are even close.

EvE, great economy, nice eyecandy, hundreds of systems, thousands of parts, tons of different resources, thousands of interesting bases, hundereds of ships, Thousands of active players, farming, automated ship fights, and half of the DarkSpace Vets.

DS, good ships fights, no player balance, the other half of DS vets.

DS moving toward EvE.. i dont see it.

Really? cool.
I mean in some aspect it should be more like NEXUS, you really have to have played it for a while to see what im getting at, but ill stick i few things here which i think would improve the game ( my own opinion)

*Ability to target indidvidual systems on enemy ships and pirotiese them.

*Extra commands such as:
*intercept
*Emergany stop
*a proper Kamikaze command

I cant remmeber much as its been a long time since ive played NEXUS
but things like that would improve how poepl command there ships and engage in battles, and i think for the better.

hmmmm.... maybe bring in some MAC cannons for only the biggest dreads....

And having it go into a more NEXUS direction would make modding ship a lot better/ and easier.. and im sure poepl would prefer ships with there own custiom equpitment (witht the boundies of the ship type ofcourse)

Nexus is a 3d Tactical Fleet simulator, where you manage your ships to own another Fleet.

You issue Commands to your Ships which will be executed acordingly.

DS is a Action Game, like Starfleet command.

I dont realy see how Nexus elements could improve Darkspace.
The only thing probably is a new fighter control...

Subsystem targeting? Hell no... I for example will target Jumpdrives always and everytime, wich will result in more deathes, more pres losds, more pissed of players...

you can target *some* of an enemy's systems, usuall just inf tho, and only if you're close enough
