just to make one thing cristal-clear...
DS, PALESTAR and everything related to DS and PALESTAR do not support the use of illegal software in any way
to "circumvent" a method of separating legal from illegal software by using DEV-software is a way to go, but as a private person and as member of the DS-STAFF i never had posted it myself
it is anoying, i agree, to legit yourself on and on, but we can not denie the fact, there are a big amount of "copy's" around
so, we, the legal user's, have to life with the reaction of the DEV.
back to the topic, is the problem solved??

Directx *, will not look for a validated copy of windows. You probably have directx 9.0c already installed if it wont let you install it.
Check by doing this.
Click start.
Click "RUN"
Type "DXDIAG" and press OK
If directx says "Version: 9.0c", then its up to date.
