Odd crash...

Do you have a firewall running or anything? Try turning off the windows XP firewall for a bit and try running GCQL then...

Reguardless, the lobby should not crash even if you have a firewall blocking socket communications.

^ good point...

Might be worth deleting your data folder too and trying to see if GCQL will update...

nope, still doesnt work.
Firewalls are turned off, i let the ports open for gcql and darkspace, still didnt change anything
The thing I dont understand is that if darkspace was working before... why not now?

Is the ATI onboard?

Regardless Ive encountered some problems with DS and ATI video.
On 2 systems that have ATI onboard I had to remove the devices from control panel and then reboot using default video. Once rebooted installed updated drivers for ati cards and DS worked fine. On both systems I encountered nearly the same errors altho was able to get into GCQL. I dont know it might be worth a shot. I say this even if you dont have ati onboard as possibly bought the card and then installed it so your orginal configuartion on your system is not identical to what it is now unless you took the card out when you reformatted. See what comes of it would be interested to hear what youve discovered.

He's using a x800 pro, not onboard..

It's fine, I ran it not too long ago and it ran DS just fine...

Actually 5 times out of 10 that's an IE issue.

Try repairing IE.

1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
3. Click Microsoft Internet Explorer 5, and then click Add/Remove.
4. Click Repair the current installation of Internet Explorer, and then click OK.

Hope that helps.

x850Pro jack, on the other hand i was thinking i shouldave gotten a x800 of some sort, as x850 isnt supported by battlefield 2 very well (it tends to crash every now and then, verified it with other x850 users on gamefaqs.com

Here is another look at the error:
