Dont know if this was posted yet but I couldnt find it anywhere. This is for anyone who wants a server for DS or something. There is a USB powered mini-server called BlackDog and it runs on Linux. It is now shipping and you can order it online at www.projectblackdog.com along with more details about it. It starts at $199 and for any coders if you write a program for it and it wins the contest as the best program written for BlackDog then u win $50,000 so if the Big F reads this then if you write DS server for BlackDog you could win $50,000. There is a lot of stuff you can do with $50,000 like possibly give everybody free DS for 1 month.

USB powered = slow transfer rates = lag

USB does have some lag issues but if you use it possibly as a battle server with a max of 20 people or so and no buildable planets (just a couple of planets with depots and shipyards and factories) then there will be very little to cause lag and there would be another server for DS which would attract more ppl.

True, it's worth looking into.

If faustus just shows he can run a server on it...doesn't matter how big...

Then yeh, could win $50k...
