Sadly enough ent, most of the people who posted after you apparently didn't read your post. Poor them.
Tragically, I almost got into the OMGLIEKIGOTTAWHINECUZALLTHEKEWLKIDSRDOINITYARR... scene, with my never-really-released argument about how DS doesn't play much like an MMO at all, but I decided, no.
I took Backy's advice, so when I found that pres gain was borked, I took a time out and pursue my dream of selling my soul to Blizzard Entertainment and played WoW for the past few months.
I think what Faustus needs most right now...is a PR team. Nothing quite says "Play DarkSpace" than 40,000 adverts across the globe, hehe. Just look at Blizzard and their uberfat wallet of D00M. I think, if DarkSpace seemed to be doomed, in its death throes, it would be GPL'd in hopes that it would be revived as some random Open Source Linux MMO.
Speaking of which, I got DS running on WINE. More n that after the weather.
