just a preview image, full size is 16x12, so dont bug me about the size.
a tad too plain for my liking
please suggest color schemes, background/pattern (if any), adjustment to elements (just the logo and text atm), more "stuff" (but not too much, want to keep it simple and clean), etc..

If the background was a bit darker, then spot on :')
Maybe some radial blur on a dupe layer of "Palestar".

I think that sorta looks too much like a background for a new computer, except it says "Dell" or something. Anyways, I think you should make it a little more space themed..I'd buy a T-shirt! Darkspace pride!

Try a slight darker background. ATM its too light and the main logo needs a little more contrast.
Maybe just darken the area behind the star to give a little more depth.
Very nice so far.
