With all of the programs you can create almost any program imaginable. You are only limited by your skills. You can't create stand alone program with Web Developer though, but you could create a game like Drafells with it.

No, if you're gonna go into programming, you should just start with C#, if that's the language you want to use (I would recommend C++, but still).
Honestly, do NOT learn VB as an "intro to programming" language. It teaches very bad habits like writing unreadable code and using GOTO.
I had learned VB as my first language (wow, that sounded really weird), but I was like 8, and hadn't used it in years before I decided to teach myself C++.
If you're considering buying a programming book (I think they're generally better than tutorials, plus gives you something to read in the bathroom ), I would recommend something from the "Sams Teach Yourself" series.
PS: Don't learn Java. Its a waste of a language (sorry fattie).

Yeah, don't learn Java. I think C# is very powerful and it is easier to use than C++. But C++ is more powerful, but most of the time you won't need the extra power.

It's not like I had a choice with learning Java.
my school doesn't have C++ courses.
Besidies, java and C++ are kinda related.

C# and Java have a lot of similaries, so you should be able to pick it up easily. Download the IDE and check it out. http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/visualcsharp/
