Took a look at that. The previous bidders, all were members as of the day the bid ended. Could have been the seller making clone accounts to jack up the price? Or just the seller doing it play a joke.
Wouldnt be the first joke. Once I saw someone try and sell part of one of th 50 states. The sale was for millions of dollars.

That is not stupidity, that is fraud! Like you said, most of the bidders were new. That is how the cons and the theifs get around paypal. Instead of just transferring the 10000 through paypal and raising some flags, they create 20 accounts on ebay and sell something like that with all the accounts bidding up to the amount they want to transfer. Then they transfer the money through paypal as to make it seem like the money was for an item that they won. Its fraud all the way around. They will eventually get caught.
If you see something like that again, report it to Ebay and Paypal. Do your part to help combat fraud.

My first experience with ebay was a link that someone posted. The link was to an auction... someone was selling a stick from their backyard... it sold for $2.00... plus shipping...
