When you see someone drappling a big net in the middle of the hanger bay to "stop" the fighters...
When the fighters start pouring out the sides..
When the doors wont close and anything not bolted down stays put when you enter FTL speed.
Your fighters/bombers out perform your carrier in everyway! and you can sell them individually for more than the whole carrier...
When the Ships reactors have holes that are patched up with DUCK TAPE!

When your fighters make up 78% of your hull integrity....
When a fighter launches, it's engines actually start to break apart the deck plating...
When a fighter lands, the impact actually breaks off the piece of the hull the fighter landed on...
When your crew resorts to experimenting the reactor shielding properties of newspaper.. (They would try toilet paper, but what dire problems that would cause!)

Your crew is made up entirely of ex military serving life sentences.
Your crew doesn't KNOW they're serving life sentences, and wish they were.
Your captain just bought all new tractor beams to capture parts of the ship as they break off.
Your captain had to buy all new tractor beams because the old ones broke off and floated away.
You fly into a jumpgate and it spits you back out without sending you along.
It spit you back out because the JG crews are still cleaning out parts of your hull from the last trip through the gate.
