You can d/l the game and try it out. You just dont gain in rank until you sub.

There should be one .avi file of gameplay.
Instead of watching a movie, you could play unsubscribed :]
Play as a K'luth, pull out a Talon, cloak, and watch, or choose the observe option w00

Dint work for me either, but as stated above down load the game and play for free in the scout ships, you will get the best idea of the game that way. Your could also add a observer tag and possiably not get blown away as long as you shoot no one. Would help if you typed "/y (whatever)" and told them you were checking the game out for the first time and just want to look. Of course be wary there are people in this game like any who would be happy to shoot you any way.
