Didnt bother reading everything, but for once,
JUST for once,
i agree with mad bum.
Yeah i know its shocking:)

Well since i play kluth a lot, i found this out about 5 days ago (i know, i suck)
It is actually very easy to do this. Lets say for a bombing run. From everything in the observer mode, you dont know what ship, but you can DEFENITLY see from wich side they are coming, and to wich cluster they are going. You can argue all you want, it took me 30 seconds when i did it to find out wich planet was the target, how much ships were incoming, if they had ecm running or not and if they had already launched bombs or not.

Now thats a lot of info, and i bet you can do it a lot quicker then me if you do it more often.

well, you could always just organize in open space instead of near landmarks that could be easilly found. XD

just a thought....

A perfect Example is me in R33 i was under ECM and well lets face it Sono and Leonide found me at Paul now, GET RID OF IT! im sick of being harrassed all the time in the MV because of this version im sick of being pounced when im not expecting it, im sick of the kluth getting nerfed and getting owned im sick of the so called underdog faction the UGTO because lets face it the UGTO get their way all the damn time its time to put a stop to this. Stop Listening to Jack people and listen to the other people who freaking matter in this game! In Other words the ICC and Kluth, we need a chance in the MV. I just wish mine, RedXIII's, Crimsons, Coeus's and Everyone elses Cries are heard. but their not they are ignored they are thrown aside like yesterdays trash im sick of it! Get rid of Observer Mode, Nerf the UGTO, make Kluth Stronger and make the ICC's Shields Stronger. Nuff said

Being able to see a target from there point of view even though they are lightyears away is wrong.

There is no way to dance around it. This has been around a long time but it should be taken away, at least being able to observe nmy vessels. Now i dont know why some peeps want it too stay other than its not a problem.

Well these posts kind of prove otherwise. It is a problem, completly voiding any surprise with the clik of a button. A one clik ender, this could be thought as an uber scanner more than a aesthetic tool of enchantment.

I'd actuly prefer for it to remian in-game. I find this tool highly usefull.
but they should be... some sort of time thingy, like after going into observer mode and comnig back out again, then joining back into the game... there should be a 1 or 2 minute "sop" time before you can play again. so any ships you did see, should be far away....

IMHO observer can be easily misused. After spending a few days in the MV you start recognizing things and identifying them with some accuracy. I think it should be atleast flagged for staff only or removed altogether. Making it a staff tool probably be easiest I think, but I'm no programmer.

If people want to see what's going on, they can pick a side, spawn and use the F2 map or camera from the safe zone.

@goththug stop blaming jack, he didnt make this version, or any other-_-
and
finding a person under ecm at a planet, lmao
you know how you do that?
you know theres an enemy in the system, you check nav for every planet, see ecm rings, found someone

its easy!

Add something that outputs "Server: [player] has entered Observe mode." ?
