As always if you place yourself in an outspoken position human nature steps in for some and you get to be target for players frustrations over other things in / out of game.
If you, as jack, are a very noticeable community player, you have to be able to stand the heat of the masses or just disappear.
Making long posts on the game and in other ways respond or are of help for to the game communities have its downsides
You get to be target for flaming and notice from both players and staff and reacting to flaming insults or just backtalk, the wrong way can make things worse.
Jacks way is:
Making long responses to posts that turn out to be of more personal nature.
Ending with
“Im leaving” ß but we all know he will be back 
As one that’s been though the whole thing myself.
Been both regular player, mod, admin and back to regular player
My way, was a bad temper that make me ”misspell” words that not so allowed in the chat rules (roc) the famous “ragg blowout’”
I have cured my temper switch but only after some time off DS.
So maybe taking a break is a good thing.
My take on jack is that he have my respect as a player with opinions on the game, I would certainly not go without, I don’t always agree with jack and he certainly never agree with me, but I even then respect his opinions.
But maybe sometimes he should try show more respect towards others opinions on the game, jack your word is not the word of good , that would taking him a long way.
And BTW
Stop calling him barkey would help to, I know for a fact he don’t like that
Been reminded myself by both by jack, mods and admins “don’t do it “
so again just hang on jack you doing a good job

all due respect, i just think the newbs need to step back, and not newb as in ur new to the game, but newb as in u dont understand the game, so b4 all u button mashing space bar pounding, and p2p jumping ECCM pinging, beacon children start attack him for what hes down, and how he never seizes to stop the help and assistance even tho he gets crapped on and flamed, maybe take some steps to become educated a bit more:
Step1: take2 seconds tho think, whats he talking about, and howcome i have no clue what hes saying.
Step 2: Listen to what hes saying
Step 3: think before u say something, if u dont know what ur talking about, become educated and then say something
Step 4: Experience > Pres, yes u may have lots of pres and be a great player ie-coombie, and nim cool, or u could be a complete newb and bomb ur way to admiral not to mention any names, *cough*ali_G aka freak night*Cough* u could have all the prestige in game but if ur still button mashing and guessing u are not experience, that comes with age, and time played (forget the stat cus its bust)
Step 5: Dont Cry Ubber, instead learn how to fly better

Not only does Backy lead the community in posts...he leads teh community in: Thinkning of leaving posts, Threatening to leave posts, Leaving posts, Changed my mind posts and Coming back Posts...
You noobs need to recognize! Back has more leaving posts than you have normal posts

I've only made one in the past, so I have no idea where all this "So many leaving posts!" has come from. And that was because I wanted to give myself to my fiancé, who then left me two weeks later.
Might be nice if some people got their facts straight around here...
The reasons for my leaving, like I said, are not totally due to DarkSpace. I have medical problems, serious problems that are going to force me, ultimatly, to stop playing any games, possibly breathing too. So perhaps some of you would like to actually read my posts instead of reading the first line, or listening to some 8th generation gossip that's twisted out of contortion.
Appart from that, thanks for all the kind comments, I appretiate them all. The fact is though that my real life is fast becoming a magnet to stress, and I'm trying to decide whether DarkSpace is helping, or making it worse in some cases. It's not just a simple decision, which is why I wanted to keep it quiet whilst I decided over time. (I should know better, keeping anything quiet in this place is impossible).
Anyway, thanks again for the kind comments.
