I'm going through the online manual, and every time I'm done with a page, I have to hit the back button to get to the index. Am I missing a button that will let me go to the next section in the manual, or is that not there?! And if it's not there, why the hell not!?

Yeah, that's what you have to do. Even w/ the full text version. Why? I guess nobody ever complained before. Personally, I don't see why it is a problem, but I can agree that we could fix it. We could also use a topic search in the forums, to keep the double posts down. But personally, I would rather have the devs cranking out and away on the next version......

clarification, i did try converting the manual to a pdf, but it only went to section 5.18.2

the "full manual" is what's on the website here. i dont recall if the retail edition of darkspace included a hard copy of the manual, but that point is moot, even if it did it'd be grossly out of date. the online manual is infinately more up to date

I have 2 retail copies of the game. The boxes are uhh, lets say they died awhile ago. It came with a small manuel. Just a basic overview.

i would love to see a Darkspace retail copy. i would buy it because they are extremely rare and my get some value in the future.

I have a box.. but I see it more as a depreciating asset than an appreciating one, sadly.
On a side note (read: bragging cometh), the screenshots on the back were taken in beta one day when it was just a couple of us; Faustus is the ship actually focused upon, but you can see me (well, you can vaguely see text, but its me) talking up in the chat zone.
