Hey guys new and couldnt find anylpace to set up a joystick does this mean you cant use a Joystick to play DS... looking for a good space game with multiplayer and you would think would have joysticks. let me know if i just over looked it (please post the link to the right place that will tell me what i need to know)

This game is played with keyboard and mouse. The gameplay is 2-dimensional, so arrows are all that you need really to fly.

It is possible to configure some joysticks for any game you wish but it would take some tinkering.

nothing that hasnt already been said,
darkspace is not designed for joystick control, strictly a keyboard and mouse affair. IF your stick comes with software that will allow you to map keyboard/mouse functions to stick buttons, then it is possible (but not probable) that you could use a stick. and then even if you do get it set up that way, there are no guarantees about how well it will work

Some joysticks are provided with software to bind buttons and directions to keys.
(representing the same keys as on your keyboard.)
In the past i had my joystick configured to rotate Shields (ICC only. Duh.)

I tried to play Darkspace with a 9 button gamepad (not including arrows), not that good, especially since you dont have to hold down a button to go for a certain direction
