Ok ive come back and ive seen soo many new stuff. So i want to ask these questions.
1.Standard,Reflective and Ablative armor.Which is better overall
2.Reflective=how does it work
3.Ablative=same question how does it work
4.How effective are fighters in this game. How much damage per individual fighter etc.
5.Are there any new tactics i should be aware of so i can learn them and use them to my advtantage.

These are the few that come to mind ill ask more on this thread. Thanks and have a good one.-Cobra 1-1 =SSC=

1.Standard - will resist ballistic and energy weapons equally
Reflective - will resist enrgy weps such as lasers better but wont ressist ballistic not to well worse than Standard
Ablative armor vice versa as above

4.How effective are fighters in this game. How much damage per individual fighter etc.
dmage unknown, Standard assault fighter works well has more kick, bobmers are a planets nightmare, interceptors havent found good use for em

thats all i can advise you on mate

Many use Standard armor. Lately I have too but If I know I'll be fighting Kluth I use Reflective outer layer with Standard under layer. If ICC I you Ablative outer layer. In a Bomber I use Ablative outer and Reflective under.

Reflective is for use against Beam weapons (Ruptors) and Ablative is for Projectile weapons (Torps, Missiles etc.)

Fighters as with all previous versions are great for lag. aside from that they are only slightly less useless than in previous versions.

About the only "new" Tactic I can advise you on is ALL SHIPS ARE NOW WEAK IN REAR ARMOR SO ATTACK THEIR AFT AND WATCH YOURS

To maintain power use IE drives All other drives are useless for power, AME drives are good for speed of course but at the cost of power.

Also, Unless I plan to do some serious Long jumps I don't bother with upgrading my Jump Drive OR changing it from Tachyon.

Reflective Armor
+Highly resistant to beam damage
+Auto-repairs
-Very vulnerable to projectile weapons (cannons, missiles, torps)

Ablative armor
+Highly resistant to projectile weapons (cannons, missiles, torps)
+Very high HP
-Does not auto-repair
-Vulnerable to beams (only really a concern against K'luth though)

Standard armor
+Reasonably effective against both beam and projectile weapons
+Auto-repairs
Most balanced and commonly used armor overall

4.How effective are fighters in this game. How much damage per individual fighter etc.

Normal fighters now fire missiles, which makes them more dangerous but increases lag.

Bomber fighters can damage a planet but unless attack all at once have little real effect as opposed to a ship. They also have trouble with shields

Interceptor fighters were supposed to ward off missiles and fighters, using a user interface. However, this interface was not made and subsequently the interceptors are useless.

ICC and UGTO have two fighter slot shuttles which act as mobile eccm. Not sure how well they work.

Also how many fighters are carried per slot and how many bays for UGTO carriers and dreads.

How many to be effective, I can't really say. Suffice to say enough of them can be a pain in the grass.

Standard is 5 fighters to a slot and 3 to a shuttle slot.

Stations, Command stations in particular, carry the most fighters. Maybe 10 or 12.

UGTO Agincourt Carrier Dread - 8 slots

ICC Command Carrier - 6 slots

UGTO Carrier Dread - 5 slots

Most other dreads and ICC Carrier Cruiser - 4 slots

Has anyone ever successfully used the sensor shuttles? Have tested them on some occasions, useless?
