i agree with air.
a) scouts are almost invincible and only luthies with disruptors really have a chance at killinh em
b) he was running ecm so how could he be spotted?
c) i believe airwolf was orbiting a planet, so it would take 2 seconds for air to die by tractor.
d) if your not subscribed, your not gonna worry about pres you cant gain anyway are you?

*****As a MOD I will say the following.*****
Using a ship to pull/push another ship into a Celestial Body (Planet, Star, Asteroid Field) by usage of a tractor beam is a legal Tactic. Since the player utilizing the Tracor does NOT gain any prestige from the death of the player being tractored it is concidered within the rules of the game. No compensation will be granted within the parameters of this gaming situation.
IF you feel that the tractoring person is "greifing" you then post a comment in the staff feedback forum. You can provide the specifics there and we will look into the situation to see if it is truely a griefing issue.
*****As a Player I will say the following.*****
If you got caught with your pants down (not paying attention to your surroundings) and were pushed/pulled into something by a Tractor Scout then well... you deserve it...
Nuff Said

The only way this would be illegal is by tractoring an ally into a planet, in which case it falls under the Friendly Fire ruling in the RoC.

Or using the modding bug to give yourself too many slots and therefore tractors...

Im not crying..and yea i got caught with my pants down. anyway u guys talk of real battle...so then explain to me how a lone scout can tractor a station into a planet? cmon now think it would be like a man pulling sumthing the size of say.... a small moon!
There is tractoring as a tactic then there is stupid crap like a scout tractoring a station. Im not saying to make it illlegal for one to do it, make it impossible for one to. my 2 cents.

well think about it like this in space you keep moving untill you stop your self or hit something, so a little push from a tractor beam would be just enough force to send ya in to a planet. just like how tug boats tow massive us naval ships in and out of port ..

Both of these problems are remedied by Airwolf orbiting an actually built friendly planet. At the time of the death to which he is complaining I was not in the MV so I am unable to attest tot he true situation of the time. The conlcusion is though, if the planet were properly built then the ecm would be canceled out by the sensor bases of the planet and Airwolf would have plenty of time to get away if the planet had a dictor which means Nim would have to be coming in from 1k gu out to be able to tractor Airwolf into said planet.
All things considered, if you do not pay attention while in game you will die.

i think there might be a bit of an issue with ECM, because i was getting harassed by a scout and even within the 50gu detection range he wasnt showing up for me to shoot him... i didnt really care because i wasnt near a planet and it wasnt a strong scout ship, but i thought it odd

I will just say this. When I see a scout I have a speacial mandi made just for the occaions. The sad thing is that this scout can shoot beacons and fly all around and unles I time my jump to where he will be directly under me I will never see him. The scout ecm is that powerful.
Couple solutions:
Run ECCM and Scanner
Wait till next patch.

I stayed under Ronzo's station for 5 minutes in a Sensor Frigate...a few people finally noticed the ECM rings, and tried to shoot me...hitting Ronzo... -.-
