Cant jump.
Cant cause damage to other ships.

And you can't spawn.

Apparently the network code isn't completly done yet, so we'll probably have to wait for that to finish before we continue testing.

Alright having some big trouble with this.

--Everytime I am in Beta, I cannot use any commands. This is a quick list of what will not work for me so far off the top of my head.

  • /send f
  • /send c
  • /room list
  • /room join

And in a sec I will upload some screenies.

[EDIT] Alright...another bug. Game won't save screenshots when I take them. I checked all my DS folders and found nothing...

palestar/gamecq/cache/darkspace beta.

Sometimes beta crashes but stays up. You cant do some things when that happens, usually the metaserver has something to do with it (or disconnecting from beta so you cant talk to anyone or send c/f).

And:

Might be worth reading the other threads or asking other people before posting

I did Jack, but this is a constant issue for me. No one I have talked to has had this issue.

Then there's something wrong with your install...

Uninstall gamecq and reinstall it (remember to delete the directory). I don't have any problems using send f/c (just went in).

Battle dread : If fighters launched too close, they take out the rear armor (completly).

A-34 (UGTO fighter) : Launches invisable missiles that explode the moment they've been shot (but still damage the enemy (they don't seem to actually explode)). This is what I think is damaging the BD's armor when launched close to the enemy.

When you cycle through a friendly ship's weapons, the arcs are shown based on how your ship is oriented, not the ship that's being 'scanned.'

eg. your ship is facing one way, a friendly ship is facing the opposite way. If you looked at, say, a disruptor that was mounted to fire on the fore arc of the friendly ship, the red sector will be oriented with respect to your own ship's orientation, not that of the friendly ship.

modded torps have seem terrible tracking abilitys (unless i hit the enemy ship head on around 200- gu, they never made it)
modded torps on a Combat Dread did not seem to deal damage
invisible modded fighters on a Battle Dread once launched do nothing (even recall fleet does nothing to those fighters).

the new GameCQ Beta file seem to have overwrited my Darkspace Release editor with a copy of the Darkspace Beta editor.
