Good topic,
I'll add my one memorable moment.
Way back when I was a new player... in say.....2003.
The SYN clan had just wrapped up a battle with several Kluth. The wounded were struggling to get out. I was one of them ( imagine that)  . My AC's systems were fried and I couldn't get my engines up to at least keep pace with my teammates.
{SYN}Air helped me out my swapping one of his good engines with my damaged ones so I could limp out to safety.
I just always remembered it as great teamwork and a great moment in DS to me.
The darkest times to me are always when your faction is about to lose the MV.

my greatest moment ever? hmmmmmmm.
ofcourse that would be the moment i got a green shirt... ohhh the only thing that kept you pp safe then was the power of the will... and Hussaro and Quistis ofc..
the wrost moment? well dont have 1 but you ppl shoudl regreat the moment that i count as my greatest

I believe my greatest moment was when i first came onto DS in 1.482, i went into MV as soon as i got into lobby, spawned at a planet under attack by the K'luth i think there was 4-5 dreads and an assortment of smaller craft......use an interceptor, i hit select, saw a giant ship right on top of me and then i was dead......did that 5 times before i gave up and went to newbie lol
worst time was when i realized that i had left for two months during the last two months of 1.482.......came back to 483........

I think my greatest moment was in 1.480 Fleet Admiral server, when I destroyed 9 carrier dreads and several more smaller ships with an AM mine Scarab.
At once.
Aside from that, I had countless awesome gaming sessions during 1.480. DS was all I played, and all I really needed to play. It was just that fun.

i really have no greatest moments like your guys. but mine is this:
back when i was half-noob, a Captain, i was in a Picket dessie fighting two luthie cruisers at once. i chased one off, and i think the other was smartin maybe..... i dunno. but he ran also. i had good armor damage and maybe hull. but i made two luthie cruisers run and i gained my gold Combat after that little battle. 
EDIT; just happened in Admiral. me and troy mars are on kluth. we build as usual, with me getting a Scale and troy a Siphon. we go to the proc-12 cluster and begin pwning UGTO players left and right. all they had were interceptor frigs and scouts. when they were killed, they kept jumping back in, obviously not being smart enough to stay out of those planets.... >:) we won the map of course.

1. luring a kluth dread to jump into a minefield in 481. the mines were close enough that i took some damage, but the dread was pretty well toasted and an easy kill anyways. this was in defense of the CD36 gate when the kluth were knocking on the door every day.
2. taking on 3 EADs consecuatively in an AC in deep space, and only having to leave because id run out of ammo. defending Cygnus.
3. the trap we set in lalande that nabbed us a big UGTO fleet and nearly ended with us destroying a kluth fleet too (never do a 3 second countdown)
4. planning a massive 2 pronged attack on the kluth with the help of the UGTO, which involved a total of 80 players from ICC and UGTO throughout the night attacking kluth.
5. more or less defeating a fleet of 15 482 EADs with cruiser and station support using an AD, an AC, a HC and a destroyer, a hastily constructed minefield, and one very crummily built planet.
6. painting a giant A for Agents on sag hothha and then running away
7. having people try and fight me for the position of "leader of ICC" which didnt really exist.
8. having people switch factions to try and fight me for the position of "leader of ICC," which again, didnt exist.
9. watching Enforc3r lead fleets into the sides of gas giants
10. watching blueevilstars hive do a slow sublight turn into a gas giant, killing one of his escort ships. then watching 2 of the kluth have an FF fight and killing eachother before we could even get there to shoot up the leftovers.
11. Raven fleet attacks with the PCM jump cruiser and an ECM boat, involving an EAD turning into an asteroid and exploding.
12. outwitting KC in eps eri and taking over several planets on the opposite side of the star system before the kluth had realized wed left oymvre.
theres more probably, but im tired.

Worst moments
1.On my first day in mv I run into enforcer and he asked me to follow him , suffice to say he attacked a 10 ship fleet and of course i died. Thats how i lost my first ac.
That would be it for the worst moments .Now its time for the fun part.
1.While I was still a freelance long time ago PB was changing sides to prove to all whiners back than that its all about skills not factions. It happened when they were ICC and I was UGTO .I was in a BC with 4 nukes and 4-5 flux or something like that, bah I don’t really remember now exactly. I was defending sol and I had 5 PB’s against me , it was coombie for sure ,maybe gods dark and pants if my memory didn’t fool me.
I was managing to fight them equally without dieing driving them off .The greatest moment I had was when i jumped their 5 ships at mars and in just 30 seconds of dogfight nuked coombie to hell and disabled 2 more ships with flux .
2.The moment I got to know , that coombie is a 6,56 feet blond sex bomb male model.
3.While I was still in PB , once we were bombing a tough cluster .We were 5 , me comb kc and maybe pants or gods. Comb and someone else were in gangs with bombs , I was in a hive and kc and someone else were in supies.
We tried so many times that I made a joke that ill blow up my hive on top of kc if the planet wont get nuked this time. It didn’t and I decided to blow up with kc under me .Kc died , coombie died and the atmosphere got warmed up. Kc logged out so pissed he was deciding weather to kick me out.
4. The fun I had when I teamed up with caveman in FA with 2 scraps with 7-8 am mines each. We had so much fun back then , pressing n and shift-n resulted in killing a whole 1 destroyer or wounding a cruiser to 60-80%.We were literally owning .Though the sad fact was caveman was leaving ds soon after.
5.While I was still a mod I let 20 Romanians into ds stirring things up for the admins team. I was once asked to help a guy by another mod , he claimed to be a Romanian who wanted to play ds although he couldn’t cause of the Romanian ip range ban .I was naive and eager to help back then and decided to help him .The result was 20 Romanians abusing proxy server and getting into the ds community .I had a whole day of fun with probability of being permanently banned. Hopefully it ended in just losing my green shirt.
6.The fun with lobbyghost , everything is in my sig below the royally screwed.
7.Kickng enforcer and disbanding his clan
8.Once there was a clan with many GA’s which had a first place In ranking.I don’t remember the name now but I demoted all the fleet admins and changed the name to something really ridiculous and the description to something like quistis slaves.
9.The wonderful women of ds.I had a lot of fun and pleasure of meting questis,husk,luna.
10.Sheng and all the times he run away from me , including the time I managed to jump right on top of sheng while he was doing 20 gus on a ac with a station. Sheng and stations doesn’t mix
11.Never being tractored into a planet by joseph although he tried many times and always ended in doing shift-j .(Spelling I know, I’ve forgotten his nick by now)
12.Being nuked only a few times in my whole 4 years of playing ds. I always had a laugh when so many people were complaining about nukes in 1.480 just because they couldn’t think beyond space and shift-space. Fights back then required so much more skills and were so much more tougher and exciting , I really miss them
13.All the people I killed in the past 4 years and all the people that killed me.
14.Times of 1.780 when I had the most fun and played against some of the best players in ds. Sadly those times are over and my time is over as well.
15.I've almost forgotten.The time of ghothugs shinning days. Boy those were funy days.

worst parts.
while stil a newby.
1.480 newby server. i said to some interceptor frigates "folow me. to freebie" the said ok.
so i setted out a manual jump to Freebie and jumped.
40 seconds later:
Server unknown1 has been destroyed by Epsilon Ind
Server unknown2 has been destroyed by Epsilon Ind
Server unknown3 has been destroyed by Epsilon Ind
the all used the follow command and where destroyed by the star.
there were some "/E lol noobies."
and some thime later i got friendly fired and destroyed by two of those three unknown.
first action in MV 1.480.
(before the jump speeds where increased.)
jumping from Sol to Ros 248 afther 8 / 12 minutes ending up dead in space with lack of hydrogen fuel. (for the tac drive)
later finding out that you could use the jump gates.
Best parts.
getting combat training from Kamikaze chicken in newby server.
it was a long /t session of a asault scout v/s Heavy cruiser.
gatering newbies and regular with a DS friend in newby server.
the go hunting in a scout/frigate wolfpack somthimes even going to admiral server.
darm those days where funn.
hunting with scouts and frigates under a -4.0 ecm with about 6 to 9 people destroying frigates and destroyers.
some thimes even bugging cruisers and dreads to.
best MV action.
1.480
just a few weeks in fleet GDI there was a deployment of ICC against the K'luth.
Taking: Epsilon Caranie Aa : Bernard's Star : BD-43*44A : Lalande : and Epsilon Eri in one night.
we started out with a 50 + man fleet ending at epsilon Eri with 38.
( some people left some where added and some stayed behind in the other systems to build. )
i was a suppie suplying the bomber dreads. new those where bombing missions. starting from 15/10.000 GU away.
stations, transports and ecm extractors capping planet afther planet.
i can remember every movement we made even to today.
Why i rember this out of manny nights of funn in those days.
becous i earning my silver combat, bombing, and suppie badge in one night.  ( GO Grouping)
i could say more but it is gething late + i would just wast form space.

Privately My greatest moment was reading the replies to a post I made in Staff forums.
Publicly My greatest moment ...... was Coeus WORST moment as I had him on follow and managed to abort my jump into the Gas Giant HE E-Jumped into
Privately my Worst Moment was again Staff related and I can't say.
Publicly my worst moment has yet to occur. Making a fool of myself in game does not count as a "worst moment" as I often times do so intentionally.

Dude, that was my best moment 
Although technically I guess my best moment is beating two EADs 1v2 in my AC...
Or working with Crim Lark & several others a few months back to take all the inner planets in Sol within the timespan of about 3 minutes...
Or the SEVERAL times that I saw Jack's EAD on the 482 battlefield and dove straight at his side so that other ICC could get in & do hull damage on him...
Or flying with and S.W for nearly my entire DS career.
