I'm getting the error listed as this posts topic. I've reinstalled 3 times, 1 time as a repair install of the 1.483 download...now one as the 1.482...and I did all the updates.

When I try to join a server, initially it works as its suppose to. After the last part that says INITIALIZING PLATFORM, it goes to the large window that has Darkspace 1.4835 in the upper left corner which SHOULD then turn into a full splash screen of DARKSPACE then to the loading screen. But it just sits there, and I have to hit CTRL + ALT + DEL to get out of it, and it gives me the error.

Im running the following:

1.3 Ghz AMD
256 Mb
64 mb Hercules Prophet GeForce2
OS Win XP Pro SP2

My previous cpu bit the dust but had no problem running DS (it had no firewall). My firewall is ON. I'll try it OFF but I doubt that will fix my problem. Any thoughts?

EDIT: I turned off the firewall but it didnt work. In my firewall settings, it says the network settings are corrupt and to fix I must restore defaults. I did this but it still said they were corrupt. Still not working.

well with out actually getting ahold of your computer there really isnt much i can do for you. some peeps have downloaded 1.481 and pressed update from there and said it works fine but i dont know i have never tried that method. but if you are getting a client error it must be on your end.

side note: my laptop is WTF Pwned your desktop....akakakak
