I've been having a lot of crashes on my system
I actually went so far that I reinstalled both my oses. I have now Win98SE and winXP freshly installed with all the updates.

Win98SE is mutch stabler than XP but it crashes allso. mostly with a Ddhelp error.
I've send in my bug reports(but I can't now? ftp problem or something)

using ASUS K7M
Athlon 700
GF2mx 400 64mb
256MB ram

is anyone else having troubles?

hmmm...so u have 2 partitions. if u have dx8.1 installed then dx will try to use both for swapping. since u have a fat32 and a nt filesytem it can cause the trouble (i assume u did that). get rid of 1 os or use fat32 on both of them or go back to dx8.0 if u still have it somewhere.

I just have 98Se on my comp and I get the dlhelp error once in awhile. I think it might have to do with not enough graphic memory,or running out of graphic memory. I get the same error after running asheron's call with 2 accounts after a few hours of playin. so it doesn't have anything to do with having 98 and xp on the same machine

I have just upgraded form a ancient puter to a
ABIT k7 something mobo (via chipset latest 4-1 drivers)
athlon1800xp
(milkystar) GF2mx400 (latest drivers 28.32 + tryed older ones)
450ish mb ram
fress install of win2k all SP+patches (had 98se same probs)
I get a few differant crashes mostly just a freez that kicks back to desktop, sometimes makes me have to reset, and sometimes BSOD with either exception in nv4_disp.dll or the ntkrnl or whatever it is.
sometimes the crash happens 30sec after i load into game sometimes i last a hr without crashing(rarely longer) especially crash prone when alot is going on(middle of large battle) but not always.
trying to think of more info i can provide...hmm...have v-sync turned off. running at 1024/768/16bit...um yeah..
someone must know something about this problem seems Wally and i have the same vid card is it the problem? anyone elce have the same card?
Any help would be muchly apriceated.
