It seems that games now a days are all about the graphics while keeping the story line to a bare minimum at best. I am one that loves a good single player storyline one game that came out in 99, was a game that I played for ages but when its graphic superior successor came out I was less than amused that I had to wait six months before I could play because I had to buy a new card for my computer. The story line was well lets jut put it this way the $50 CD made a better coaster than anything. anyone know of any good games that have a awesome story line and do have some up to date graphics, or are all the good games before 2000?

Recent game I've played would be Fable. It's got a good story line..

Though it's probably an obvious choice and the graphics are relatively almost-ok, the first KotOR game did have an excellent storyline. Had the second game not been released before it was finished, then it could have been great too.

Fabble's cool. My cousin had it was always going around his to play it. Some great single player games out. I found Oblivion and Morrowind to be both excellent games. They have a really good plot line. Plus, some brilliant sub-plots. However I would advise a fast computer to play Oblivion. Morrowind is the earlier one so better easy 2 meet the requirements. Also the graphics on Morrowind don't look dated. As for Oblivion they are the best Graphics I have ever seen so far.

Rule of Thumb : The less graphically superior the game is, the more likely its content is over the top.

Which is why I enjoy playing KotOR II and Neverwinter Nights on occasion.

Some of the best storylines Ive enjoyed are generally in RPG's.

Fina Fantasy 7 is a prime example, the newer ones aint bad either.

Unfortunately alot of storylines lately are purely mission based, theres no real interaction or influence.
