combat pres is acutally 3:1, 3 pres for each 1 point of ships damaged. the way armor/shields are this go-round is what makes it hard to get that hull damage, arc bug non-withstanding

Exactly. What i was thinking about is not changing the ratio, which would affect accumulated stats, but adding a factor to applied hull damage towards gained points.

Its intentional. We hate the Kluth, and want them to suffer.

Premature release is a serious problem, and something of a sensitive issue. While its nice that you try to offer some advice, I don't think your immediately-following comment on small size and being realistic is really what Mr Developer or Mrs Developer is looking for.

Woo, I can finaly reply to these posts in some official manner...
1.484 is in no state to be released.
There is still a lot of work to be done on it, more so than you realise. It's all very well changing the levels so that they clamp to the hull type, and such, but we still have a lot of bugs to cypher through, and get rid of.
There's also the massive issue on ballance. Some of the ships are still no where near completion, or of a 'ready' stage. Some ships have been completly nerfed due to the fact that levels have been clamped for smaller ships, and we still need to finish the upgrading system.
And then after that, we still need to look at the weapons ballancing, along with ship setups.
1.484 is not going to be rushed. I know everyone wants it to be released, but it can't be. You see, part A is being chagned in 1.484, and part A needs part B to work, and both parts need part C to work. Parts A, B and C require a lot of work on them to make sure they work, and are ballanced properly, hence the reason small and quick releases won't work this time round.

Thank god. We all know what has happened the last oh I don't know, three times the patch has been rushed out. Not again, thanks.
And again, this whole thread is just a rehash on what has already been said and done and done again. I still dont know why it crops up when it has little or no effect on anyone or anything because it was already said and done.
Now that there is actual known progress on the next patch, I can finally say:
Shaddap, be patient, stop complaining, because its being worked on. No amount of complaining (for sure) will make it come any faster. When beta is up, test, test and make sure its everything we want.
But until then its better to stand here and watch, but say nothing.

If you really dont like how the game is running, you can always go inactive and play another game untill a patch comes out
