Ok so this mite b a dumb idea but its just something that i thought would b useful. After falling victim to many jump bugs and seeing people do the same maby the sup ships should have some kind of docking lock or something where they can lock onto a friendly ship and still jump at half speed or something just so they can bring them to the safty of a nearby station or Cluster, anyways thats just a thought.

P.S. sorry about the spelling

Good idea, but I doubt it will ever get implemented.

its called shadow, i had supply ships stay with in supply range thru long jumps, if the supply pilot knowes what he/she is doing he can keep up with ya

thats not the problem i'm adressing here, its the fact that sometimes your JD decides to be fun and not work in the middle of a battle. then even shadow can't save u

Maybe they clamp together, and stay clamped through the jump...

There used to be something like this awhile ago. Resulted in stations jumping with a scouts speed.

Beat me to it. This will never be implimented, unfortunatly, we had scouts jumping stations around at the speed of sound a while back.

couldnt it just be modified so that the speed be adjusted to the slower one of the two. For example a scout jumps a station it would jump at the speed of the station (maybe a little reduced speed too)

No, because scouts JD's recharge in about 5 seconds.

Ahh the good old days...I fondly remember the requests, as I was driving my scout, to dock and jump with someone

Perchance this could be re-implemented but restricted to supply ships only. Anyone know how much faster than stations etc. sup ships are? Seems like you could just take the code and make it sup ship only, of course it's more likely the code's written in just such a way that that's impossible
