i see a cyclical argument here, they mirv because someone dictors, someone dictors cause they mirv...
A) how to resolve this? they only get in dictors if they see someone mirving, so... dont mirv, argument resolved. also, instead of simply claiming that you are doing nothing but fighting, you will gain a record for it that isnt arguable, and thus respect, and thus less of these arguments.
B) Dictor isnt the only way to kill a bomber, i had a lot of fun on UGTO as a battle cruiser intercepting bomb clouds and then heavily damaging the ICC bomber dread responsible. Maybe you can get rid of the dictor issue by using patience, accuracy, ambush, and tactical deployment (the fortes of Kluth if im not mistaken?) with combat ships. its possible.

Oh, I like to toy with them in regular combat, but when I get a chance, I will use my dictor. I'm an ass like that, or summin.

This should now be in diplomancy with the way this thread has gone (or perhaps we can make a new forum section named "Drama!"). IMO, 90% of the players in this thread have no-idea what they're talking about in some way or another, and all it's come down too is a bitchin' brag fest of some kind.

this issue as i see it
using a dictor with any kind of purpose and result takes teamwork.
since the weapon layout on the ships with dictor on, is not enough to make noticeable dammage to any ships except scouts and frigates witch are fast enough to escape the dictor field anyway.
so trapping anyone with a dictor reqiuer that it have 1 or 2 or more combat ships ready to disabel the target ship.
you cant say if the dictor is to strong or to week, because its designed to work in an team of other ships.
but surly 1 dictor and to other battle ships working together to catch and eliminate an enemy is surly an dangerous combination.
only way to counter, this is if you go on bomb runs with an dictor and some battle ships, your self.
but because of the bombs being to strong making it possible for an single bomber in short time with no opposition with 1 or 2 bomb slots to lvl hole systems.
along the way someone have forgotten that DS is about teamwork and as soon as they get hit by it, they bitch about it.
best Weapon against bombers Dictors and team work.

personally i only pull Dictor out of my bag when , other team have a dictor ship or single bomber sprees.
but only if i can gather a force to back it up.
conclusion here can only be Bombers are to strong since they dont require teamwork to function and by that dont belong in DS.
can only hope that changes.
think about this next time you get your CD BD in a dictor field and self destruct <-- stupid , before you get killed, uttering all kinds of insults, not allowed in the Roc, to the dictor pilot.
