i'm still looking for my others. i know somewhere I have shots of the the 30+gu/sec Hive that Josef and I developed after hours of toying with tractor scouts... must find... we attacked GothThug relentlessly with it one game.

anyhow, here's the few i did find.

It reminds me of the old DS days when you could sit 30K out and prowl around, watching an unsuspecting engineer building up a planet which would soon be a "Death Star". Engineers being a significant target of interest, you would test the waters, flying in towards him and then aim away to see if he knows you're there. Then point jumping him and launching a carefully timed series of weapon firings while adjusting your end-velocity to gain optimal distance and speed for your assault.

I also remember when Drainers were the ultimate tool. You'd find some clueless target after having stalked him cloaked for some time. Pop him with the ELF (a puple-beam from the black abyss), and if he was smart, he'd jump because right after that would come the alpha strike.

... must stop thinking of old DS days before addiction to game sets in again.

If you flip them horizontally in an image program you can see some of the names. I flipped to see who was talking in the 2nd one... it was Kamikaze Chicken talking about missiles at Naix. hehe. Looks like we had a decent fleet.

Happy days Dark Jedi.

Can't believe it was that many years ago that you roped me into helping you and Josef push your station around. All I remember doing is laughing out loud as we approached the planet, with you reminding us both to stop before we hit it.

Not bad mate. Coombs has got a few of us interested again so you might catch some of us around playing again.

Ahh the good old days! Man this game was so much fun back then!

The past is really the only reason I'm considering returning for a while after .484 (possibly before). I do miss the awesome scenario server battles though; I loved scenario server gameplay where everything had to be built from scratch and everyone was crammed in that 1 map.

That was 5 years ago Wtf. 5 years??
