the new graphics card, x2900xtx, is just insane. and i don't mean the specs.

check out the length of that thing, 30cm!!(luckily there's a 6cm shorter version for non-OEM, but still)

and look at those powerconnectors - 6pin AND 8pin
Probably going to work great, but the size and power needed is CRAZY

and here's a link to specs: http://www.dailytech.com/AMD+Releases+Final+R600+Specs/article6138.htm

I'm guessing he doesn't own one because:

There are only review versions, and test versions out currently.

That isn't a test verison (I have one - it has no ATI markings on it, neither does it have a coloured PCB). And the review version is only sent to, well, reviewers.

You might also like to know that, it's infact the X2800 XTX2, not the X2800 XTX. The XTX2 is two cards-in-one, hence it's larger. It's designed for CAD, and such, and extreme gaming.

No game on the market at the moment makes use of this card, except Surpeme Commander at a resolution well over which is common today (25**+ x 19**+).

The XTX version is a normal sized card, like any other.

I would like to have two of the graphics cards that looks like a leaf-blower. I said TWO! *I cannot upgrade until I get a whole new computer, so it will be a few years more yet, when I finish college.

Yeah i don't own one....wouldn't fit in any of my cases

so a double gfx card like the 7950GX2, quite interesting. looks like only one pcb though, how did they manage to do that?

and thinking of quad-crossfire combined to AMD's 4x4....O.o, welcome 2000W PSU!!

It's two GPU's on one card. It's also the same price as the X2800XTX. They did it just so people who want it, can use it. Variety 4tw.
