I agree. I went from Runescape through alot of other games and to Darkspace. I still say Darkspace is the best. Even better than EvE. Alot better than WoW.

Lemme think here.
As far as gaming goes, what turned me into a gamer was probably a combination of systems and consoles.
For instance in the pc market, some of the first games I played were text only and what little graphics there were were drawn by the program line by line. Some of these games included Spider Man and The Incredible Hulk. Both were command line only, however they did have some graphics at certain spots in the game where it would show a picture drawn out line by line.
One of the first games I ever played with graphics was on a Franklin PC 8000 on DOS, it was flight sim with a one button joystick which was non-analog and the graphics I'm sure took what was, at the time, a tremendous amount of programming.
We later installed on of the first ever pointing devices(mouse) into this monster of a system running at about 4MHz with 512KB of Ram and a 620x200 CGA graphics. The full specs on my bad-to-the-bone comp back in the day can be found here.
One of the popular game systems I used to play that got me into gaming was the Atari game system, which I later graduated to the NES and when Sega released the Genesis(which I got with the optional Sega CD system), I was blown away and it was on like a chicken bone.
One other system that comes to mind is the old Apple systems at our highschool which only had 5 1/2" floppy drives(like my Franklin) in which I played that grand classic "Oregon Trail". This was on one of Apples' "Apple II" systems I believe, can't remember which one off hand.
Ah the good old days when everything you did on computers was done by typing series of commands.

Ok Ok, Slightly relevant to this.
My physics teacher just came in half a week late, after saying he was playing quake, is it really that good?
First game he's played.
