what reason is the stinger getting aft weapon arcs for....three weapons?

Two, unless you count an aux reactor a weapon.

It's four weapons. Two 'Ruptors and Two Psi Cannons.

This is probably the closest K'Luth will get to a human "Combat" warship, and it's design has been heavily influenced by the K'Luth/Human conflict. It is not so reliant on getting close and gaining the first strike advantage that is the core of K'Luth combat philosophy. Instead this ship has the potential to engage humans on their own terms.

Question: Those ships with fore/left and fore/right armour arcs... when they're being shot at from the front, conventional wisdom would indicate that one of the armour plates will be damaged first, causing asymmetrical damage and prompting kluth ships to ALWAYS turn in one direction to present the undamaged facing to the enemy.

So, for example, if the fore/left arc is "on top" and gets damaged first, you'll always turn left to present your right arc to the enemy, since your left arc will have been damaged thanks to it also covering your front.

Perhaps some method of dividing damage evenly between the two armour plates when being hit on the front is going to be necessary?

Gejaheline does have a valid concern with the arc issue (I knew there was a reason I wasn't happy with it ) - we will reevaluate the ships in question.

Going to change the scouts and frigates with overlapping front/rear arcs so that they have two dedicated front plates, and one plate to cover the left/aft/rear arc.

It's not a perfect solution, but should result in ships which are still reasonably strong.

We'll also be revisiting cloaking/decloaking times and possibly testing out variations until we find a better fit. So dont be surprised if each build the ammount of time to cloak and decloak changes...
