Ok guys. New game now. This one I have only been working on for about 1 day, so it is a bit simple, but still fun.

The game is Mirv Defense. You are defending against the never-ending onslaught of mirvs attacking your planet. You start with 10 defense bases and 500 score points. Destroying the bombs scores you points. The defenses, like in DS, are more-or-less automated. They shoot for themselves. You must position the defenses to protect the def bases, while they attempt to shoot the bombers.

See This Image to have the dots at the bottom explained.

The Fighter and Platform select lights turn green when you have that weapon chosen. You can set you selection to Fighters by pressing F and Platforms (or Guns) by pressing G. The only other keyboard button you will be pressing is R if you wish to Reset the game.

EDIT: D will select Destroyer.

When the Fighter and Platform Available lights turn green, that means you can afford the score points to build another one. A max of 5 fighters and 10 platforms.

EDIT: A max of 1 Destroyer.

Platforms can only be placed in the lower part of the sky and never too close together. If you move a platform too close to another, it will be deleted and the score points needed to rebuild it will be provided.

EDIT: Fighters occupy the middle of the sky and then the Destroyer goes in the upper sky.

The Levels display is important. As they turn green, you approach Level 5. Every 3 missiles that you get to the top of the screen scores a hit on the enemy bombers. Every 3 hits eliminates a level. Score 15 hits to win. As the levels rise, more and more bombs fall.

EDIT: If you win, the game will restart but with slightly more score points to start with and 1 level higher than the previous round.

EDIT: Take note of the slider bar in the middle. It initially starts in the slowest setting. Adjust it when you begin to run at a speed you find comfortable.

As you eliminate levels, your weapons will fire faster and farther.

You can move Platforms by clicking on them and dragging them around if you wish.

I just got a blank screen with the background of Jack's Font Color (Dunno what it's called?).

Although, then these neon-green lines starting zipping around places, and then a bright red flash. Add a cool techno soundtrack, and you've got a few million bucks selling this to stoners..

I feared that might happen. This program is far simpler than my other game and so it gets through the code so very much faster and so it runs much faster on other people's computers. I'll try to slow it down for you guys.

I have updated the game with a new weapon (The Destroyer) summoned by pressing D. The image has been updated (JPEG), Doran.

Also, I have posted a SLOW version for people with Fast computers. Let me know if it is too slow. I can speed it up or slow it down more if needed.

Just tried again. Try Little-SLOW. Perhaps that will hit the window.

If the bombs get from the top to the ground in 2-5 seconds, you have it running pretty well. Let me know if that works out for you.

Still working on why the danged destroyer up and dissappeared on me mid-game but continued to shoot.

Lock it at 72 frames rendered per second. Or give a slider so we can select how fast (Or make - slow it down, and + speed it up).

Little slow - too slow.

Also, WTF is up with the CPU usage when you spawn a fighter?

Goes from 01% to 99%.

I think its an amusing past time, I think it would be more fun if:

1. If the battlefield could be made bigger.

2. If there was no 'end' to the game (it simply gets progressively harder and faster)

Slider Bar! Now THAT is a great Idea. I can do that. I should kick myself for not thinking of it after I used so many slider bars on my last game (not one you guys saw, it was kind of a spaceship game).
