Holy jesus. Dont get all excited at once. This is gonna take me some serious time, like a year or so. I guess I could model it in Pro E but I was hoping for a shortcut.

Make 1 of every model of every faction and then have them swoosh around each other really fast, like a battle (since our battles are on a 2D plane anyway.

just wondering if you got permission to do this about how much would each unit cost ? and would you be able to make just regular models w/o the engine like airplane models that ppl hang up and paint after they put them togther

well, to print lets say a solid pool ball, thats about 150 bucks in plastic. The plastic comes in spools in special cartridges. A mandy model 4-5 feet long will break a grand in cost i think. It aint cheap. And yesm you can pront just about anything. you can even print a ball within a ball, unmoldable parts and such. whatever you can 3-d model, it can print.

I've heard about these machines, in the 80s & early 90s they were considered sci-fi era stuff weren't they?
Hmmm... a 3 foot long Assault Cruiser, hollowed out inside (two pieces?) so I could put in LEDs (Blinky Red Light anyone?)... still a grand?

I doubt that they could make it hollow.But that would cut the cost insanely low depending on how big it was.

Lol have any of you seen the videos of the RC boats these guys make that mount lil bbguns? they have full contact battles till the other guy sinks. That would be awesome to do with a few of these.
Also i hadnt seen that particular model but I've seen a similar one and was very impressed. They were making all sorts of random crap layer by layer.
