This was a triumph.

Downloaded the "orange box" from Steam this weekend, and for someone who usally dislikes FPS I have been pretty hooked on portal, and TF2 is amazing. I haven't even begun HL:2 series yet but do look forward to it. Darn TF2 is taking up all my time.

Alrighty... in the Steam main window, you'll see a set of tabs along the top, click the one called Community and give it a second to load... Use the Search box on the top left and lookup Darkspace, should give only one result, the Darkspace Group... click that, then click the Join Group button on that page, and that's all there is to it. You can the members as friends if you want, but that seems kind of redundant to me...

If your weighted companion cube could speek, and we at the Apature Science Enrichment Center would like to take this time to remind you that it cannot, it would tell you it would rather die in a fire than slow you down.

Only one problem, I hope to God they had better writers than on the original HL2.
HL2 beamed with linear gameplay and a load of repetative garbage.
Scare factor: -34 out of 10
Boredom factor: 8 out of 10.
However HL2 has some impressive redeeming qualities, namely awesome freaking physics and *BAM* gravity gun 4tw!
Deathmatch is freaking massive pwnage. I can't tell you how many times I have played online having loads of fun while laughing my arse off at flying toilets an cars falling down stairwells taking out several players. It's hilarious to say the least. The online play has a great feel and playability is awesome.
But if you want an awesome "turn out the lights, crank the speakers and crap your pants" game, then look no further than D3.

Bought it, love it, only just plodding through HL2, and played TF2 as a scout, got very messy lol.
Have to say it s360 version though.

D3? Is that the third in the series named "D", whose second iteration on the Dreamcast was a pretty interesting piece of survival horror? Or is that Diablo 3, or the false-messiah Hellgate: London "D3"?
Whee if it's the first, meh if it's the second, and hwarf for the last. The HG:L demo was horrible.
