This response is for Phellan (self proclaimed ed "pilot") ... Try flying something other than the ed and you'll see that you can not truly fire from every direction effectively. Only works on the ed because it has way too many cannon slots.

what I 'said' is that you can fire from any direction you have weapons. Most ships have at least a few weapons aiming to the sides and reverse. But when Im flying my hc I dont want to have to look behind the ship to aim then end up crashing into a planet. That is what I meant. I use other ships whether you believe me or not but when I do I get ganged up on and icc teamwork isnt legendary so I grab an ed. I lost a ton of HCs, combat dessies, and mds in 6+ on 1 odds and thats partially cuz im not as good at flying them but its not for lack of trying. I'll go 1 on 1 with anyone that wants some in any equal ships but not once have my oponents allowed that so quit your griping.

I wish the stats showed kills by type of ship. I have hardly ever killed anyone with an ed, it doesnt have enough firepower in one direction to destroy one of your cruisers or dreads before they run away. Almost all my kills are from flying an HC, whereas most of my deaths are from flying eds. As far as the ed being so bugged, i've fought it many times as both ugto and kluth and not found it any more difficult than other ships. And you didnt answer my statement. I use it against overwhelming numbers. If you guys didnt always gang up on single ships maybe ICC wouldnt need to use them. Functionally their exactly the same as one of your dessies except for shields. I evidently havent been playing long enough so please explain to me what the bug is, exactly.

ED bug is: a vessel with dessie size and manueverability, dread class shields and armor, cruiser strength/number of aux gen and weapons slots.
In short, it is too fast, too resilient and too powerful. It is not counter-balanced by any one other ship, giving it an unfair advantage in combat.
Your "you gang up on us" excuse does not hold water either. I have experienced many battles where very few (3-5) UGTO ships were attacked by far more ICC vessels (7-11), and over half of that ICC fleet was EDs.
EDs (like system-wide planet mirving) is a bug in this version that causes frustration to many players. Everyone is aware of this. Regardless if where anyone stands on the issues, if you are going to do it, then do it. If you are going to choose not to do it, all the better. But stop trying to justify your actions with excuses. I have found that disputes over the validity of excuses causes more frustration than simply accepting the fact that someone does it.

I cant speak for the ICC fleet or your experiance with them. I am simply going on my limited experiance, that the ed is the only ship that can stand up against large numbers. If that is because it is bugged then so be it. Every other senario I have tried though has failed so I'll step back and ask you, as an experianced player, what I can do to improve in other ships to the point where I can do well in the game. I can fight and win against any one ship, regardless of class, but ICC teamwork sucks so more often than not its one or two against many. In that situation what can I do?

PROTIP:
This game already has a manual aim function.
It's even a little box. And boxes can be used to target an area of space. Sort of like a crosshair.
