Me and Pete would like to extend our thanks to the community, and those that came to give their thoughts, words, and respect to Paul Gardner, and those that have passed during the lifetime of this game.

It gives me great happiness to see that many people, new and old, giving respect and time to someone who was so great.

Take this thread as an opportunity to say what you wanted to say.
To post those screenshots.

And to give honour to a fine player, and a great man.

Thank you, all.

Rest in peace - Paul

- Jack

I have no clue just who R33/Paul is.

I joined late to the event - But my Command Carrier crashed into that star just as any of the other ships there. At least it's something we did together - As a community.

The first memorial I could make it to, and an incredible honor to be among those present. A testament to the hardiness of this community and its capacity for tenderness.

RIP R33, and a full heart of sympathy for DarkestVorlons. Hearing about that just tears away words and reason... no words can do justice for that grief.

Couldn't make it to the Memorial, being that it's my Birthday today, but I guess I'll say something here.

Paul was always well liked. A great man, a great player. I don't think there was any reason to dislike him from the few moments in I had to meet him. He's accomplished something no one else in any other game has done. He brings the entire community together in memorial. May he rest in peace. We'll never forget him.

And to DarkVorlons, if you read this, Darkspace will always be your home. We'll always be here to support you and share the fun. We love you mate.

But will hold a private memorial as soon as i get back to my apartment with the liquor fridge.

Everyone that attended, i tank you.
I didn't knuw R33 that personal, but he was a good guy that helped me numerous times in my newbie days.

it was too late of notice for me and I had plans to spend the day with my father and sister at the beach. I did, however, write R33 in the sand, making it about 12 feet by 30 feet. No one else knew what it meant, but I did and that's enough.

Who knows, maybe it will appear on Google Earth if they timed the image just right.
