Hi
I can't play yet, I downloaded the game, everything was working smoothly, I logged on but when I got to the
part that had a list that had Metaverse.Darkspace.net, and the other 2, The game froze and in a second or 2 I got the Microsoft error report box.The one with "Send error report" and "Don't Send" options.What do I do?
Also, I didn't install that cumalitive IE update.I checked the FAQ
I Really want to play this

Have you tried pressign update?
Otherwise, we're going to need more details on the error message

The error said something about msvcrt.dll

Hm. Are you sure you didn't install both updates?
* Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 6/7 for Windows XP (KB944533)
* Cumulative security update for Internet Explorer (KB947864)
The second one was added recently, so not many people know about it.

I didn't install any updates.I installed them earlier before knowing about darkspace but then just system restored and the updates were gone.
Edit:I think I know whta the problem Is.I think my PC is installing the updates without my permission(Auto update is off).And I can't acess Add/Remove programs.I'm gonna call dell....

um hi ... on mine when ever i try to open the lobby i get this error message that says it can't find the bcgcb551.dll file ... PLZ HELP!!!

You may not recall installing the updates but they might have installed themselves, make sure to actually go into add/remove programs and try to find the two updates.
Or, download the beta client here.

Download the beta client - it works with release and fixes the problems with the security fixes

Due to Microsofts *ahem* 'security' updates, the Beta installer is probably the best option for new users.
GameCQ Beta
It now allows you to install and run both the Beta and Release clients for DarkSpace.

ug i was able to play for a while then when i closed it and then tryied to start it i had trouble.
ti got it up but now i can't even join a server PLZ HELP
