Movie came out this weekend. It was really a good movie. I'm no critic but I can quote just about all of them by saying its a good sit down with popcorn movie.

I thought it was boring, slow, predictable and indictable of jingoism. The jokes are simply not funny.

Nearly as bad as the 2nd Fantastic 4.

The only 3 good things of the movie are:
1) The Audi.
2) Robert Downey Jr.
3) Leslie Bibb.

I am tired of seeing superheroes falling from 500 feet and not getting hurt, cinema should be a reproduction of reality, not a reproduction of impossibility.

Robert Downey Jr. was on your list of three good things? Well, to each his own, I suppose...

While peripheral motives of those who make movies may include creating a masterpiece, enlightening the public, yadda-yadda... I think the movie business exists primarily as a way for people to make money. When there's a demand for reality, maybe there will be movies about it.

Don't get me wrong, I like Science fiction. But what's the point of having an inflation of these kind of movies?

Keeping in mind the change of characters, what's really different between "Iron Man", the "F4" or "Spider man"?

They basically have the same story, it's just like making Airport '75, '80 and so on.

Why can't they spend a 1/10 of their budget and hire good writers instead of just focusing on supposedly cool special effect? And I say supposedly because in 3 years time they'll look lame.

Movies based on comic book heroes are the in-vogue thing right now. That's why there are so many of them, and that's why many more are slated to come out. Give it some years, and the drive to make them may die out and be replaced with something else as aggravating as this.

I think some of the movies are cool. But I also have many memories of Judge Dredd.

Anyway, to note the differences between the movies you mentioned... there are some, and you know it. But I suppose the point you're trying to make is the end result. Superhero combat action... some sort of drama involved with the superhero(s)... and the villain getting royally screwed in the end due to some special luck factor.

In the battle for justice, truth, and the American pie in the movies of comic book superheroes, good always wins. Some people need to keep hearing that.

On the bright side, there are other movies out on the market. You may find none of them appetizing, but at least there is a choice! And, if all else fails, stay at home and watch Casablanca. Feed your mind with American propaganda!

- Edit: Smote one of those damn emoticons. I hate using too many of those.

As far as comic book movies go it was good... Remember you arent watching Die Hard 4 or the like, you are watching a live action take on a COMIC book...

That said, if you havent seen it yet, stay all the way through the end of the credits... All the way...

There is a 30 second blub after the last of the credits setting up the sequal which if done as they say with the same actors will be really good.

Lol, if it's reality your looking for, you ain't gonna find it in the theaters...just wake up every morning(afternoon if some of you are like me most of the time). People go to the theaters to see fantasy....be it love, action, romance, history or what ever....that's pretty much the whole point in a movie theater....

PS: Robert Downey Jr. kicks everyone's but except for Chuck Norris and lemon marange pie...and even then, it's a close three way.
