Yeah... my son said he saw some like this on Cartoon Network... I am sorry, II have seen every Star Wars Movie in the theater including one of the original pre-mass release theaters in California of the first movie... way back in the late 70's

It is a awful thing to see GL take Lucas Films and ILM and turn them into a Animie Shop....

This is an improvement, IMO. Anything is better than the wooden acting in the new trilogy.

Glad they went for a stylistic look than something realistic; if you try to make something look lifelike with CGI, you're in for a lot of animation and modeling labor... but if you go for a distinct look, any number of polygons will be fine, as whatever you make will just look "right". Don't believe me? Look at a ship in Homeworld. Looks pretty nice, doesn't it?

Oh my God.. looks absoloutely aweful. Good things need to die when good. Star wars was good up to the 3rd original movie. The next one had cool story though.

I'm with rocko. All things bad shall be called anime.

The movie is to launch the new Anime series on the cartoon network. Yes, its CGI, but its also still Anime and even Lucasart's is marketting it as anime...

Suffice to say it looks abysmal... And after reading the synopsis, they are already breaking canon with it. Anikan was still a padawan apprentice uptil the third movie, yet in this cartoon, he HAS a padawan apprentice and occasionally Obi-wan tags along to help out...

Lucas has really jumped the shark with the Starwars franchise. Many of the changes to the original 3 movies angered fans and some made no sense what so ever. Then he decides to forgo doing all 9 movies and only do the first three. Yes, there was suppose to be 3 more movies about the establishment of the New Republic. But that may have been a smart choice after all considering how horrible the three pre-quel movies were...

And after the prequel's does anyone really have an hope or expectation for an animated t.v. show which takes place between episodes 2 and 3, and already breaks canon from the films?

personaly can't wait for this one to come out.
Finaly holiwood is creating a non human action starwars movie.

p.s.
On the anime/cgi topic.
Anime and CGI is closer connected than most of you think,
Stand alone CGI movies like "Final Fantasy spirits whitin" wound never be possible without advancements in anime.
Same is going for todays anime whitout CGI we would still be watching a verry low quality than we are today.
so all anime and CGI Lovers lets pay tribute to some of the first mixed computer enhanced movies "Akira" & "forest Gump".
(Or what ever other movie you feel like tributing to)

There have already been a couple of Star Wars universe inspired cartoons shows, though none of them made it very long.

One even delt with a Luke Skywalker like kid who owned C-3PO and R2-D2 before Luke did...
