I downloaded the client...
run the install program...
I get a DOS window...
And after about a second it disapears. No errors. Nothing.
Dar??
Windows XP Service Pack 3.

Dunno if this was the problem but.
Already had this reported last year but.
the USA mirrors of gamershell.com are hosting a bad zip file.
Dutch and UK mirrors work however.
But with the current problems around the release version with Internet Explorer updates. You might better grab the GameCQ client. (its called a beta by name, but its fully functioning.)
There is even a written walkthrough how to use GameCQ.

an error at palestar caused the mail server to become flooded. You will have to wait till it clears before you get any kinda e-mail from palestar. It maybe quite awhile.
