Changed them so they can only be mounted on k'luth ships. The ability for UGTO and ICC to use these gadgets has made the K'Luth completely unable to compete with the other factions. Fictionally, cloaking and auto hull repair require biologic hulls like the k'luth have.

But, in the future, I wouldn't be surprised if the humans would run into a new race, with a limited mechanical version of a cloaking device that could be converted to human hulls.

Of course humans can develop own cloak or repairing devices ...
Nanotechnologi combinet with nanorobots can self repair up to medium damage...
Cloaking ... hmm thats bigger problem, hide from optic ... yes possible to curve light and anti-radar we already have ...
Sure people have chance ... but kluth technology is biologic and thats why unique

This will bring more interesting features in the game, if we can develope own technologies.
I hope, development will be implement, if all other more important problems are solved. It's better than refit own ship to a super-ship.

Yes, research lab structure will be coming very soon, with technology development tree in the planet management.
