ok... (the name is problem) I try beta AND darkspace, when I try to actualy play the the game (blow up ships, etc) it says: failed to initialize platform! please check your client settings! But how on erath do u fix it ?or is it not even fixable?? PLEASE help! this game looks AWSOME!!!!!

Bro.. this is the link to the complete list of Hardware for DS.. you can see what is supported from players that have same or simular equiptment and what comments they have left.

.. ahum, that is not a complete list, but just a list of players who have those cards and say. "ds runs this fine with this equipment".
on the topic.
A Gf6200 should be fine, some players play with worse graphic cards.
Other than your graphics card we would like to know:
CPU, Ram, OS, Windows updates?, Latest Video Drivers?, Latest Directx?
Next are you using Release or Beta client?
And finally did you run client setup and set the right display settings?

I had this same problem and the way i fixed it was i right clicked on the desktop, go to properties, click the settings tab, go to advanced, click the troubleshoot button. In the middle you should see a slide bar that says hardware acceleration, slide the bar to the side that says full. Now this is just because i have windows xp i dont know about other os's.(operating systems) see if this works.

I've told you this three times now : /. If you're still on the beta client, click LAUNCH, then click DARKSPACE SETUP from that list. Select a resolution in the DISPLAY MODE box, tweak any other options you want, and hit OK.

ok then, try this:
Go to the start menu, selet run
type msconfig
in the settings tab select "Selective startup"
uncheck the first,second, and fourth item's.
go to the services tab
at the bottom select hide all microsoft services,
then hit disable all
hit apply
restart the try again if it doesnt work the restart again and it will ask you to undo what you did just do the revers steps listed here.
