So, I decided the best way to go was to uninstall all things darkspace from my computer and bring in the new version fresh.
I got the 83MB download and installed. All went well. I click on the new DarkSpace icon on my desktop and it goes to connect to the server the usual login way, only it cannot connect and says to try again later. I tried running in XP compatibility mode as well as setting it to run as admin. No Dice.
Any thoughts?

Don't install it to Program Files.
Run it in administrative mode.
