what is this i hear of new Servers for darkspace? i heard from a little birdy that Faustus bought a new dual quad core Xeon server for darkspace...how true is this?

Dell have shipped it.
It's on its way.

Dose that mean that we get one withut gears and manual labor?
ok, serous now. Will he just intergrate it or will he just throw out the old one and plug in the new one?
and dose he know yet how long the game will be down?
and last but not least, is this one one of those really cool shinny ones with all the cool LED lights?

He'll most probably retire some of the ones we have now.
New one is dual quad core Xeon processors. Very nice piece of computing.

I think one of Jack's Super Duper Hodge Podge comps could run ds quite nicely...
How about that one with the 4 video cards you made that one time... the one that ran for about 5 min. was it before it went poof? You know the one you posted the pictures about.. I cannot seem to find the original thread.

The one I made at AnAndTech UK with a friend of mine? Aye, didn't run so well - didn't have enough juice from the PSU, and the 12amp rail decided to go a bit loopy - frying the motherboard.
Xeon processor = server processor = better at doing the sort of things DarkSpace servers need to do.
