I think the jist of it is that he can't login without being banned, or something like that.

Ask him to try and reboot his modem to get a new IP.

Restarting the lobby wont work, its been done about 3 times that i know of this week. It just pops back up every time.

It is not the clone which is the issue.
He is attempting to connect to DarkSpace from a service that is using an anonymous proxy. The DarkSpace servers automatically ban anyone whose IP address they cannot resolve - this usually happens within 60 seconds of attempting to connect.
