yes get a logitec with its wingman software you can emulate the controls for ds on the joystick.

and emulation's the only way you'll get a stick to work, since they're not officially supported

You can but not by default, you would need to use an application that can map your joystick to keyboard keys. They do exist.

Only problem is you would still need to use your mouse if your mapping the joystick shaft to movement keys, as you need to select various buttons and such, but I dont see a problem with that if you have one hand on joystick for movement, and other on mouse for selection
