The only problem with taking a cruiser isn't it's not really viable with the current theme of 2+ cruisers to take on a single dreadnought class unit. However, if you did have two cruisers, you're set.

Well, that depends. Technically, if you're incredibly awesome, you could take down an EAD with a scout; it'd just take years.

...Well, assuming armour regeneration on an EAD isn't higher than the damage output of a scout, anyway. But assuming that's true, you could ultimately manage it, since EADs lack the turn rate or speed. I'm betting a cruiser could do some damage, depending on when the EAD decides to jump away.

i got close and let the splash damge help me out ive mange to beat two ead ships in this verson i got rel close to them so splash would help me and hurt them at the same time evens the odds a little makes them chose to fire the qst even if it hurts them

skillfull ead pilots just laser you.

Depending on their armor setup, they will also torp you since ablatives reduces damage alot....

in the end it hurts you more than it hurts them.
If you hull them its not that big a deal. if they hull you ,your system start to die. pretty unsound tactic to sit there and take the heat.
