With recent successes against UGTO and ICC fleets, Pirate engineers have been given more resources to work with. In order to better secure their hold on new territory, they created a cruiser whose main purpose is to be able to take fire and support smaller ships with its cannons.

I actually like Teal's better. Pirate ships are supposed to be built out of scrap metal and junked parts, so it gives their ships a more rusty, odd shaped, square box look to them. But Aurora's looks more Uggly-ish (Ugto for those who don't speaketh teh tounge). I've alaways found pirates to be contain more ICC parts then Uggly parts, so seeing a smooth pirate ship just doesn't seem right.

Though it would make a good Uggly dessie or crusier...maybe give them a bettter ship feel (like the missle crusier).

just my thoughts,
H&S

Doesn't make since at all for pirates to have a dread.

Their based on speed and maneuverability, not power and armor. They should stick to cruisers and below.

Please upload any finished models (textures not required) to the /models/ directory on Jacks FTP site at:

No promises, but we may be able to take a look at the quality of the actual meshes, and offer some suggestions on how to improve your technique, or even find some use for them in DarkSpace.

I'm really not liking Taels ship at all - It's too thin! Yet no other ships are as thin as that in hull shape, so where did they get those shape hull fragments?

Tael's is more pirate-y.

@slinki, evar heard of a welding tool? Well they take one of those, chop up a ton (or 600) of metal, put eet together and call it a ship.

Yes but why make it so tall when other pirate ships are so unlike that?

Such a different ship design is so strange, any ship building expertise would of been trained from UGTO and ICC sides, such a strange deviation from normal ship building technology.

I dunno, far too different from the rest, sure pirates aren't meant to conform to normal technologies - however some form of consistency is needed.

dunno what you're complaining about, ugto/kluth/icc, even mir ships display more differnces in shape than the average pirate ship, today's daily screeny is a good example of the rampant similarity
