Very much liking both the ideas going on here. Tael, that first model you put up looks exceedingly promising, I don't know why you scrapped it.

Thanks for the encouragement, guys.
Finished the basic shape of the lower hull now, still tweaking proportions and such. I'm trying to organise the ideas I've got at the moment, and then I'm going to start on engines, the hangar and weapons and then start texturing it properly.
Tael, I think what you've got is too close to completion to not be worth another stab at.

Looks promising, although in my personal opinion the "throat" of the ship looks a bit narrow on the underside relative to the "head" section, making it look a bit droopy, if you see what I mean. Could be a good place to put the hangar bay opening?
