YIIMm:hmm i like the design Yiimm, it looks like a sort of advanced prototype EAD or similar type of ship, envy ur abilities with a program like that

Tael: very nice ship there, i agree with the others, i dont see why ya scrapped that design, tho a tiny nitpick on it, specifically the central neck section being too thick (i think) on the bottom where the nose connects to the engine section

I see alot of potential in YIIMM's designs. Keep it up.

As for Tael.. the only thing that really needs, is the normal UGTO like tail with the arch. Except bigger and broader. Do that, and you have sex.

I tried a quick edit and attatched the last part of the neck and head to the ugto dread body and it just didnt look good.

As for Yimm's, it's a good start to a model. I like it.

command dread? that looks like something that could do some major damage, i vote for Tael's ship to be the new EAD

what about that ship isnt looking good? i think it looks super.

i'd say it would also look darn good as a cruiser, shunken down ofc.

/edit: the only think i can find that might look wrong with it is the "bag handle" on the tail, either do away with that or make it wider (not from left to right, but from tail to front) and maybe have a support strut in the middle facing forward in a slight V shape.

just dont make it TO simmilar to the "old" dreads, i never really did come to terms with that model, it looks like a horizontal statement to the male intentions. sorry to whoever did those ships, but it does.

I agreed with all the others here, needs top armor.

But Teal, it looks good on its own just bad you can't find the proper top armor.
UGTO usually has nice single plates but how about trying to scale it with multiple layers overlapping?

And i know you are designing a UGTO dread but.. if all else fails.
Leave it as it is or add some crappy looking pirate plated armor on the top, and call it: "Stolen Pirate Dread"

YIIMM i love what you done so far, the texture in particular, cant decide if it looks more K'luth or UGTO but either way its a very nice concept, please keep progressing with it, I would like to see the finish product.

Teal, love the dread, to me it looks huge maybe some sort of mothership support dread, like a mobile shipyard to launch attacks or support in deep space.

Excuse my base reaction..

DO WANT
I liked the Dread head, but I'm not sure I like where it's going.. With those wing like things right behind the head, it looks like a fighter or scout model, but I'm looking forward to the final model.
I think Tael's model looks very sleek, I'm sad it's 'scrap.'..

Question: What is that large piece of structural support on the front of the dread for? Just seems so out of place and too thin.

The neck and head are close to what I wanted, but the body no where near. I like its profile in the Alpha channel... So going back to the drawing board on it.

I want sleak, uncluttered, and deadly looking... It had it till the body...

You can see what it looked like Here

On that UGTO ship, Tael... did you try out a a triangle-shaped plate of armor stretching from the top of the head to the back arch, covering the body while leaving a narrow open space between the main hull and the plate? Maybe taper it a bit at the end, wing it a bit on the rear sides, would give it a very spear-like appearance, while conjuring up the image of a sword and shield, or something, the look of an assault craft.

-On the original frame, not the one where you put the head on a regular UGTO dread chassis.
